Course “Electricity and Magnetism. Lectures” is designed for second-year students of technical universities. Lectures are given by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Kozel Stanislav Mironovich.
The course covers key aspects of electricity, magnetism and the theory of vibrations. Such important concepts as the dipole field, the image method, the electric field in matter, the energy method for calculating forces, the circulation theorem, the magnetic field in matter, electromagnetic induction, forces in a magnetic field, free oscillations, the method of complex amplitudes, spectral analysis in linear systems, Maxwell's equations, electromagnetic waves in waveguides.
Each lecture contains theoretical material, demonstrations of experiments, solving practical problems. Theoretical calculations are carried out with the help of knowledge of the basics of integral-differential calculus and vector algebra.
