UAE makes history with the launch of Hazzaa AlMansoori to space. The Soyuz spacecraft carrying him and two other astronauts had blasted off to the International Space Station from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The spacecraft successfully docked at ISS in about 6 hours after blast off and the Emirati austronaut and other crew members entered International Space Station. Here's how the events unfolded. AlMansoori is set to participate in the Station's ongoing scientific missions. He'll observe the effect of microgravity and conduct 15 experiments designed by UAE school students, selected from the MBRSC's "Science in Space" competition. Back on Earth, those students will also conduct those same experiments to compare the results with those done in space. And AlMansoori has plenty of material that he'll be taking with him.
